Personal Data We Collect

The types of personal data we collect and how we process it are influenced by the requirements of the country where the position is based and the country where you reside. If you apply to a position available in multiple countries, the data collected is determined by the requirements of all relevant countries.

Typically, we collect personal data directly from you during the online application process. This may include your name, address, contact information, work and educational history, achievements, identity documents, test results, information required for legal compliance (e.g., residence or work permits), and other data you voluntarily share. Data created by our recruiting personnel during interactions or through interactive assessment tools is also collected. We may collect photographs or videos, including those from recruiting events or the recruiting process itself. Background checks, including criminal history where permitted by law, may be conducted post-offer. We may also collect data from third parties, such as professional recruiting firms, references, prior employers, and, where permitted, employment background check providers.

Use of Your Personal Data

We collect and use your personal data for legitimate human resources and business management reasons, including:

  1. Identifying and evaluating candidates for potential employment.
  2. Maintaining records related to recruiting and hiring.
  3. Ensuring legal compliance, including public health and workplace safety.
  4. Promoting diversity and inclusion programs.
  5. Conducting background checks post-offer.
  6. Protecting legal rights and ensuring workplace safety.
  7. Engaging in McKinsey analytics for process improvement.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of your personal data relies on legal grounds such as:

  1. Legitimate business interests in managing our relationship with you and assessing your application.
  2. Performing contractual and precontractual measures related to potential employment.
  3. Complying with applicable laws regarding personal data necessary for legal and regulatory obligations.
  4. Your consent for optional recruiting programs or collecting sensitive personal data for legally permitted purposes.

Background Screening

If you receive an offer, background checks may be conducted where permitted by law, and only criminal background data relevant to the role will be considered. This process is based on the need to perform precontractual measures related to establishing an employment relationship.

Your personal data may be accessed by recruiters and interviewers globally, as well as by administrative and IT personnel within LaneStaffing on a need-to-know basis. If employed, personal data collected during the pre-employment period becomes part of personnel records, retained according to specific country requirements and employee privacy notices. If not employed, data may be retained for a period for system administration, research, and future role considerations. A minimal amount of personal data may be retained after that period.

Industry-standard security measures are employed to protect personal data. Only authorized personnel and service providers are permitted access, with confidentiality obligations.
