Position Overview
The Transit Stop Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation at designated transit stop locations throughout assigned routes. This role ensures bus stops remain safe, presentable, and free of debris.
This is a route-based outdoor position.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize bus stop shelters, benches, rails, and walkways
• Remove trash, debris, and graffiti
• Sweep, mop, and pressure wash surfaces as needed
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Restock basic supplies when required
• Report safety hazards, vandalism, or repair issues
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use cleaning equipment
• Complete assigned routes within scheduled shift time
Requirements (Mandatory)
- MUST pass background screening
- MUST pass drug screening
- MUST have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform physical labor (standing, walking, bending, lifting)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to assigned work areas
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
